Manufacturing Industry Barometer to be established in Principality
Monegasque Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (IMSEE) is set to roll out a new business survey with the aim of establishing a Manufacturing Industry Barometer in the Principality to provide a monthly illustration of the business climate in the sector.
The survey is being targeted at all businesses within the Principality’s manufacturing sector in accordance with the current classification of activities, meaning that artisanal activities are also covered.
Every month, around 10 questions on various aspects of their activities (production, stock, orders, prices, staff, accounts, etc.) will be sent to participants.
The results of this survey will be made public in 2024, allowing time to build up a sufficient history of information, much like the Retail Trade Barometer, introduced in 2013, which is published monthly (see imsee.mc , Publications > Barometer – Retail Trade).
IMSEE has its own secure survey environment, the servers for which are hosted by the Government in the Principality. Only accredited staff from IMSEE will have access to the answers which, it should be noted, will not contain any numerical data.
The relevant businesses will receive the first questionnaire in early February.
