For this third MC Summer Concert*, young artists from the Principality have been chosen by a judging panel made up of ‘delegates’ from the young people of Monaco and representatives of the Institutions of the Principality, to provide the first part of the concert. Singer Ana Castelain and the band JVNO will have the honour of playing on stage at the Espace Léo Ferré on Friday 7 July 2023.
Ana Castelain has been passionate about singing since she was a child and began her musical studies at the Prince Rainier III Academy of Music & Theatre. She explores various musical genres from lyrical song to pop/rock to jazz. By sharing cover versions of famous songs on her Instagram account (@_anacover_ ), this young artist introduces her fans to her musical world. She sings songs by Rihanna, Britney Spears, Nina Simone, Aurora, and many other artists.
JVNO is a group of five friends all passionate about music, Will, Sophie, Tom, Sam and James, who combine jazz, funk, R&B and soul. They started playing together at school, their electric sound soon attracting attention. The group gained popularity giving concerts in London, including at the prestigious 02 Academy Islington and collaborating with the singer and producer, Henry Dukes. JVNO were influenced by well-known artists such as Jamie Cullum, Vulpeck and Herbie Hancock, and created their own sounds with a talent for captivating their audience.
