The programme of PhiloMonaco Week 2023 has been announced – From 12 to 18 June 2023

The founding members of the philosophy association Les Rencontres Philosophiques de Monaco, Charlotte Casiraghi, the association’s President, Robert Maggiori and Raphael Zagury-Orly, have announced details of the second PhiloMonaco Week, which will take place in various locations around Monaco from 12 to 18 June 2023.

This unique initiative aims to bring philosophy to a wider audience, through a week-long series of events in unusual locations, such as La Condamine Market, the Hôtel Hermitage, the Hôtel de Paris, and the Yacht Club. Each one will be an opportunity for the public to reflect and debate with philosophers and personalities on a range of issues of universal importance: Ecology, Education, Healthcare, Women, and Art de Vivre.

The hub of the events during the Week will be the Princess Grace Theatre, which will become a veritable “House of Philosophy” hosting discussions, round tables, and philosophy-themed lunches in the Theatre’s café.

Every day from 10 am to 11 am, in association with Les Rencontres Philosophiques de Monaco, the radio channel France Culture will devote its show “Avec philosophie” to one of the major themes on the programme, featuring guests from PhiloMonaco Week in conversation with host Géraldine Muhlmann.

On Thursday evening, various awards will be presented including the Rencontres Philosophiques de Monaco Prize, the Mention Honorifique, and the High School Prize. After the presentation ceremony, Manon Garcia, philosopher and winner of the 2022 Prize will give a lecture entitled “What is Philosophy?”

All of the events during the week are free and open to all.

Tickets are available by writing to or at the venue, one hour before the start.
