Sunset is back

In 2024, Sunset is back from May 24 to 26, for an 11th edition which promises to be even more exceptional, on the famous Méridien Beach Plaza. For the occasion, new spaces will complement the existing offering, while a real return to basics is planned.

While the Monaco Grand Prix takes over the Principality which vibrates to the rhythm of the F1 races, Sunset takes over the Méridien Beach Plaza for three days of celebration. The choice of this hotel, with its feet in the water, is not due to chance. With their feet in the sand, a drink in their hand and the Mediterranean as a backdrop, to the rhythm of the sets of the guest DJs, the participants let themselves be carried away.

“One year, I had the idea of organizing a party at my house to bring the Grand Prix to foreign friends. The first year, there were around thirty of us, and over time, things grew. We ended up being more than 300… And that’s when Tom and I decided to launch Sunset,” .

Unique in its kind, Sunset has its own codes. Designed by Thomas Peeters and Cédric Houdrouge, two Monegasque entrepreneurs, this event quickly established itself as a special event. Before being an essential venue for the iconic Monaco Grand Prix where art and music reign supreme, Sunset was a private evening.

If Sunset is synonymous with celebration, it is also the place where art is fully expressed. To meet all the expectations of its community, and continue to surprise its guests, Sunset will unveil an exhibition of several masterful works by the great Richard Orlinski.

Richard Orlinski began his artistic career in 2004, and created his first work, a crocodile in bright red resin, which quickly became an iconic piece in the sculptor’s bestiary. The artist draws his inspiration from pop culture, everyday objects and the popular. Very quickly, exhibiting his works of often spectacular dimensions, in unusual places and in the open air became his trademark. Driven by the desire to democratize art and make it accessible to as many people as possible, Richard Orlinski is interested in all means of expression and his art knows no boundaries.

Richard Orlinski exhibits 3 monumental works on the beach at the Méridien Beach Plaza – from May 24 to 26 – including a completely new creation in the colors of the Monaco beach party.

To further enhance the experience on the beach at the Méridien Beach Plaza, in 2024 Sunset is reinventing itself with the creation of a new space, called Casa Sunset. This new place takes over the restaurant Muse Monte-Carlo which is transformed for the occasion into a festive restaurant where South American flavors will share the spotlight with the eclectic playlists of the programmed DJs, ranging from electro to Deep House, including different international musical influences. And all this, located by the pool at the Méridien Beach Plaza, just a few meters from the main Sunset stage!

“Unlike Sunset, this new place is free to access, a way of returning to the original concept and our desire to organize a “no entry fee festival”. And on the flavor side, we will work in collaboration with Mexican chef Paola Segura and Yoni Gurman who have a Mexican restaurant in Nice. They will develop a special Grand Prix menu, with Mexican fusion cuisine,”

explains Thomas Peeters

And to end the experience in style, one last space to relax is La Petite Plage. Facing the Mediterranean, you will find everything you need to settle in, chill out and still enjoy the music and vibes of Sunset…
