Carte blanche to Théo Casciani

Théo Casciani, a young resident artist whose work combines literature and the visual and living arts, has been given carte blanche to organise events as part of the “Des Ateliers aux Ateliers” Exhibition hosted by the Department of Cultural Affairs.

Théo Casciani will present a series of public events that examine the notion of the artist’s studio as a living space and place of dialogue and experimentation at the workshop space created for the exhibition:

“Workshop” – Thursday 3 October 2024 from 6–8 pm

A conversation with art critic and professor Mathilde Roman at the Bosio Pavilion, with the presentation of texts and a discussion about the notion of ‘studio’, the opportunity offered by this kind of residence programme at the exhibition, and a description of the associated programming.

“Screening” – Thursday 10 October 2024 from 6–8 pm

Screening of a selection of films by British artist and videographer Mark Leckey, plus an intermittent discussion by conference call to discuss how location, environment and atmosphere shape creation.

“Audio” – Wednesday 30 October 2024 from 6-8 pm

Concert and reading with the producer and composer Pierre Rousseau. Performance combining fiction and original music, based on studio and workshop collaboration.
