In 2012, Byron co-founded Ultima Capital, the owner and operator of Ultima Collection, with his childhood friend Max-Hervé George. One of Byron’s most notable achievements was acquiring the Sport Hotel Rutti in Gstaad, a popular Swiss ski resort. Under his visionary direction, the property was demolished and rebuilt as the Ultima Gstaad, which opened in December 2016. This marked the beginning of the Ultima Collection, a portfolio of award- winning ultra-luxe residences, villas, and chalets in Switzerland, France, and Greece, focused on incredible design, and unmatched service.

The mission was set, to continuously elevate the traditional hospitality sector and set the trend in tailored, luxury living. It’s the service of a 5-star superior hotel, delivered with complete privacy. To create properties rich in character in the world’s most exclusive and desirable destinations, provide highly personalised service, and maintain sustainability as the central focus throughout.

In August 2019, Ultima Capital SA was listed on the BX Swiss stock exchange. Byron served as COO, while Max-Hervé George remained CEO. In November 2023, Byron entered into an agreement to sell his stake in Ultima Capital to a Luxembourgian investment group, with the deal valued at over $1.4 billion.

In 2021, Byron founded Unica Capital, a specialist real estate investment and development company with offices in London, Geneva, and Luxembourg.

I want to continue the mission of making visitors feel at home from the moment they enter the property,” – says Byron.

Under his leadership, Unica Capital has built a portfolio of assets valued at £480 million. The company’s London portfolio includes notable properties such as 167-169 Wardour Street, 2- 4 Cork Street, 55/56 Poland Street, and 35 Great Smith Street, along with several residential properties across the most sought-after locations in Europe – Geneva, Gstaad, Crans-Montana and Monaco.

We have consistently created something completely unique and iconic across each property we have worked on with my longstanding team. One of his main objectives is to give authenticity to his projects by maintaining the architectural style of the destination,” – says Byron.

Byron’s strategic vision and expertise have positioned Unica Capital as a powerhouse in property investment.

Byron’s insights and expertise in real estate have made him a well-respected voice in the industry. He published numerous opinion pieces on various aspects of real estate, particularly focusing on high-end markets in Europe such as London, Geneva, the Swiss Alps, and Monaco.

Byron’s latest project involves constructing what will be the largest chalet in the world with 5500 sqm, located in Gstaad. This expansive chalet will feature 11 ensuite bedrooms, 8 rooms for staff, and multiple living spaces.

The property is designed to offer extensive amenities, including both indoor and outdoor pools, a state-of-the-art spa, and entertainment facilities such as a spacious bar and a dance floor.

The property will also include a Formula One car simulator, offering an exhilarating experience right at home. Byron’s passion for car racing was ignited at just 6 years old when he began karting in Annecy, laying the groundwork for his future in motorsports. He is currently training and is set to compete in the 2024 GT Winter Series where he will be racing a Ferrari 296 Challenge.
