Kick-off of the end-of-year celebrations in Monte-Carlo with the illuminations of the Place du Casino

H.S.H. Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, accompanied by their children, Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella were welcomed by Mr. Stéphane Valeri, Deputy Chairman of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer and H.E. Mr. Didier Guillaume, Minister of State, for the illuminations of the Place du Casino.

A ceremony that took place in the presence of officials and many Monegasque personalities. The end-of-year celebrations were officially launched in Monte-Carlo, on the theme of “Magical Moments of Christmas”. A theme that will be used in all the establishments of the Monaco Resort until January 5, 2025.

A magical lighting show It was at 6:36 p.m. that the magic began this Saturday on the Place du Casino, with the cascading illumination of the historic heart of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, under the amazed eyes of Hereditary Prince Jacques, Princess Gabriella, guests of the SBM and passers-by.

The imposing 18-meter-high fir tree began to sparkle with a thousand lights, before the launch of a sound and light show on the facade of the Monte-Carlo Casino. All eyes then turned to the five giant Christmas baubles that came to life, revealing their new decorations, inspired by the “magical moments of Christmas”: Advent, the making of the tree, Christmas Eve, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day.

A scenography worthy of the most beautiful Christmas window displays. The Princely Family and Monegasque officials were then invited to preview these magical installations. This ceremony ended with a second light show, launched to the sound of a reinterpretation of Christmas classics.

Children of all ages can now let themselves be carried away by the magic of Christmas on the Place du Casino. We will not fail to meet there at nightfall, for the sound and light show projected on the façade of the Casino de Monte-Carlo:

• From December 6 to 20: Fridays and Saturdays, every hour from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
• From December 21: every evening.

The countdown to the new year will be given there with music on December 31.

And until January 5, 2025, it is also the Promenade shopping Monte-Carlo and all the establishments of the Resort that are adorned with this same magic and roll out their programming.
