New Moods officially inaugurated in Monaco
This Saturday, November 30th in the evening, the highly anticipated New Moods was officially inaugurated by H.S.H. Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, accompanied by Stéphane Valeri, Deputy President of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer and H.E. Mr. Didier Guillaume, Minister of State. An intimate inauguration in the presence of Thomas Brezzo, President of the National Council and Georges Marsan, Mayor of Monaco.

The official and institutional guests from Monaco were welcomed by Stéphane Lobono, Director of the establishment, by Frédéric Darnet, and by Chef Marcel Ravin for this official inauguration, before opening to the public on December 5th. Symbolism and emotion were there, as the former Moods had left its mark on the Principality in just three years of operation from 2008 to 2011.
The Deputy Chairman of SBM had promised, upon his arrival at the head of the Group, to breathe new life into it. This has now been done. The New Moods is therefore reviving this place that has already become a legend in Monte-Carlo, in a new setting and a new formula, ready to thrill the Principality.

Emotion was there on Saturday evening in Monte-Carlo
After the magical illuminations of the Place du Casino, another particularly anticipated light was turned back on, that of the brand new stage of the New Moods.
“It is with a certain emotion that I speak before you this evening, as you know that this project of revival of the Mood’s was close to my heart, as it was to many residents and lovers of the Principality” declared Stéphane Valeri, at the start of his inaugural speech.
The President-Delegate of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer did not fail to pay tribute to Jean-René Palacio on this occasion, under the moved gaze of the wife and daughter of the late Artistic Director of the SBM. It was he who had imagined this new concept of evening and show, in 2008.

Before adding: “This New Moods is, like the first, a team effort, with a new positioning to allow it a sustainability and a performance for the benefit of Monte-Carlo and the resident population, as well as our visiting customers. This symbolic place for the community of Monaco, but also intended of course for the clientele of our hotels, will be, as you know, directed by Stéphane Lobono, with an artistic program entrusted to Alfonso Ciulla, the Artistic Director of our Group. A program that, in addition to “live music”, will see an evolution towards stand-up”.
After the unveiling of the inaugural plaque, and the souvenir photo in front of Jean-René Palacio’s guitars, HSH Prince Albert II and HSH Princess Charlene symbolically rekindled the light that had been out for twelve years. The bulb handed over by Stéphane Valeri and Stéphane Lobono, in hand, the magic happened. All the stage lights then lit up, officially marking the rebirth of this legendary place of Monegasque nights, in palpable joy, and applause.

The evening began with the Rolling Stones, played by La Tribu, the very first band to perform on this new stage. A festive and energetic musical set, Signature cocktails and specialties from Chef Marcel Ravin featured on the Finger Food menu, this evening brought the spirit of Moods back to life, version 2024.
An evening that set the tone for the official opening to the public on December 5.
The New Moods, all the spirit of Moods in a new setting, with a new formula
The industrial style of the first Moods has given way to a cozy decor, all in velvet and mirrors, worthy of the most beautiful concert halls. This resolutely intimate one, with its 134 seats deployed in front of the stage, almost at the same level, and on the mezzanine, is nevertheless intended to be accessible.
Indeed, in this concert hall, there is no entrance ticket. We meet at New Moods for a concert or a stand-up show, over a drink and savoring little Chef specialties to share, those of Marcel Ravin. For 50 euros (minimum spend from 8:00 p.m.) you can attend a show while dining, in a unique setting in Monaco.
And the show is every evening that New Moods is open, from Thursday to Saturday inclusive, from October to the end of March. A program provided by Alfonso Ciulla, Artistic Director of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer. An offer that complements that of the Monte-Carlo Summer Festival and the Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival. Because the complementarity of the festive offer in the off-season and the attractiveness of Monte-Carlo are at the heart of this renaissance.
