Monte-Carlo Beach – An icon in the midst of a renaissance

Instead of a traditional springtime opening, the launch of Monte-Carlo Beach on 14 April is driven by renewal; a renewal that began in 2024 with the arrival of René Blino as head of the complex and which will take place in successive waves throughout this spring and until 2027.

The aim is to reinforce the status of the iconic “Beach” as an eternally chic and glamorous seaside hotel and club, which combines today’s tastes and colours with its almost century-old art of Riviera living. On 14 April, a brand new décor will be revealed around the Olympic pool and Le Deck restaurant, designed by interior architect, Dorothée Delaye.

On 16 May, the Maona Monte-Carlo restaurant will become Sea Satin at Maona Monte-Carlo, where guests can enjoy lunch and dancing in the summer sun, as in Mykonos.

On 21 June, Pointe de la Vigie will host the iconic Jondal from Ibiza,an ultra-luxury Iberian experience serving lunch and dinner in a calm environment. At the Elsa gastronomic restaurant, Chef Marcel Ravin will be pushing his “marine garden” concept a little further. Finally, the club spirit will be more present than ever.

From 14 April: a new and refined décor of Le Deck and the pool area designed by Dorothée Delaye

Monte-Carlo Beach is above all an unrivalled atmosphere and sense of belonging for every generation. That is why Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer chose to entrust the decoration of Le Deck brasserie and the Olympic pool area to Dorothée Delaye.

The interior designer draws on the history of places, which she enhances through adding elements that are essential for today’s lifestyles and comfort. She creates timeless and elegant living spaces that are both stylish and bold. She has some major projects to her name, including the apartment of Gabrielle Chanel, the restaurant in Hôtel de la Marine on Place de la Concorde and Langham Palace in London, a collection house in Hossegor for Iconic House, and several luxury hotels in the South of France to come…

It is with this aesthetic spirit that Dorothée Delaye has redesigned the outdoor furniture of Le Deck brasserie, making it conducive to convivial get-togethers, and the Olympic pool area for timeless moments of relaxation. With her enveloping lines, solid wood structures, cosy comfort, authentic colours and striped prints, the deckchairs, beds, huts, tables and chairs, she manages to reveal the chic seaside club spirit that has made Monte-Carlo Beach such a hit for nearly a century.

From 16 May: Sea Satin at Maona Monte-Carlo, the festive restaurant for the best summer days

One of best party addresses in Mykonos, Sea Satin is taking up residence in Maona Monte-Carlo. The establishment is being renamed Sea Satin at Maona Monte-Carlo and getting ready to rediscover the festive mood that made Maona Monte-Carlo (“Ma” for Maria Callas and “Ona” for Aristotle Onassis) an emblematic party venue on the Côte d’Azur in the 1960s and 70s. Greek food and Mediterranean flavours will be on the menu. There will be two services, one at 1pm and one at 3pm. A DJ will then turn up the heat and the restaurant will turn into a dance floor under the summer sun.

From 21 June: Jondal at La Vigie the ultra-luxury experience

Jondal comes straight from Ibiza and is taking up residence in the idyllic setting of La Pointe de la Vigie, with nothing but the sound of lapping waves and birdsong for background music. In the spirit of Casa Jondal, which has remained authentic, intimate and increasingly popular with summer visitors seeking new “dream destinations”, the restaurant offers a menu of Spanish flavours based around seafood, whose only quality is refinement (open every day for lunch and dinner).

A club spirit more than ever, based on sport, wellness and competition

Monte-Carlo Beach is more than ever in tune with its sporting identity. In addition to private coaching sessions, group yoga and Pilates classes are offered this season. A much-awaited new sport: padel. Two courts were built this winter to welcome this fun and friendly sport, which has become increasingly popular in recent years. Note also the return of the green water sports centre with pedalo, paddle boarding and kayaking, to enjoy the protected marine area.

From 21 June, Monte-Carlo Kids Club by Petit VIP reopens, to the delight of our youngest guests and their parents. In July and August, children and adults will be able to take part in friendly competition in the Olympic pool, an activity that Monegasques particularly enjoy.

As for wellness, Spa Monte-Carlo Beach pampers us with treatments by Paoma – a leading eco-ethical, organic and French luxury skincare brand.

Unmissable events at Monte-Carlo Beach

Chef Pascal Garrigues will be offering his Mediterranean menu at Le Deck, the Beach Club brasserie, in a brand new décor and atmosphere, every day during the season. At Elsa, the gastronomic restaurant of Monte-Carlo Beach, Marcel Ravin has been skilfully blending the flavours of the land and sea since last season. The two-starred chef dishes up a “marine garden”concentrate, as he likes to remind us. Locally-caught fresh fish, steam cooking with sea water, vegetables from Domaine d’Agerbol on the heights of  Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, etc. Elsa is also committed to sustainable gastronomy.

By combining luxury, glamour, authenticity and sportiness, the “Beach” spirit is more present than ever, and to enjoy it fully, don’t wait too long to book one of its rare rooms and suites with a breathtaking sea view.
