Psychobus: A Mobile Initiative to Support Youth in Psychological Distress
The Monegasque association Les Enfants de Frankie is proud to announce the official launch of Psychobus, an innovative project designed to facilitate access to psychological care for children and teenagers in the Roya and Paillon valleys. This ambitious initiative, led by the Lenval Foundation, will be inaugurated on April 8, 2025.
This essential initiative responds to the urgent need for psychological support for young people in remote areas.
“Uniting means giving hope to the world! Let’s come together and bring hope to our children.”
A Project Dedicated to Children in Psychological Distress
Following the rise in mental health disorders post-COVID and the challenges of accessing care for youth in isolated regions, Psychobus offers a tangible and mobile solution. This traveling service, attached to the child and adolescent psychiatry department of the Lenval Foundation, will operate in several towns across the Alpes-Maritimes, including Sospel, Breil-sur-Roya, Tende, Lucéram, Contes, and L’Escarène.
A Mobile Unit Adapted to Young People’s Needs
The Psychobus is designed to provide a welcoming, confidential, and supportive environment for children and adolescents up to 18 years old experiencing psychological distress. It is equipped with digital tools (Wi-Fi station, computer, mobile phone) and features a consultation space without a waiting room. Young individuals can access support either spontaneously or by scheduling an appointment through a dedicated telephone platform.

A Project Supported by Les Enfants de Frankie
Since its foundation in 1997, Les Enfants de Frankie has been dedicated to helping sick, disabled, and vulnerable children in Monaco and the PACA region. Collaborating with over 200 institutions (hospitals, social services, shelters, and specialized centers), the association provides moments of comfort and support. Annually, over 6,000 children benefit from the association’s funded activities and projects.
Under the leadership of Madame Francien Giraudi, Les Enfants de Frankie has developed numerous impactful initiatives. With the Honorary Presidency of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, the association continues to grow thanks to the generosity of its partners and donors. Recognized internationally, it has held consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) since 2008.
Funding and Future Prospects
The total investment required for the acquisition and setup of this initiative was entirely financed by Les Enfants de Frankie, amounting to €82,761.75. The vehicle’s branding was generously provided by Stick-Brand.
Beyond the inauguration, this initiative also serves as an opportunity to highlight the work of Les Enfants de Frankie. For over 25 years, the association has been committed to improving the lives of children in distress. However, many people remain unaware of its extensive efforts and the many initiatives it leads to support vulnerable youth. This project is a unique opportunity to raise public awareness of the association’s crucial work and the tangible impact of its programs.
