Seasonal Reinforcement for Monaco’s Taxi Fleet

To accommodate the influx of visitors during the summer season and major upcoming events in the Principality, 28 seasonal taxis have been added to the Monaco taxi fleet.

These drivers, selected following a call for applications published in the Journal de Monaco in October 2024, have been granted a six-month operating license.

A Fully Electric Complementary Fleet

In line with Monaco’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, this additional fleet is 100% electric. As in previous years, these white, easily identifiable vehicles will primarily serve intra-city trips within Monaco at a fixed fare of €18 (excluding waiting time and traffic conditions) and journeys to neighboring municipalities at a fixed fare of €25.

During periods of high demand, as detected by the trip management system, these seasonal taxis will also be able to provide transportation between Menton and Nice Ville.

Additionally, during major Monegasque events, they can be booked for transfers to Nice Airport, Nice Train Station, and central Nice.

On event days, they will be available all day, and on other days of the season, they will operate between 5 AM and 9 AM for these specific routes.

Phased Deployment of the Electric Taxi Fleet

The seasonal taxi reinforcement will be introduced in three phases:

• April 1 – September 30: 8 seasonal taxis

• April 15 – October 15: 10 additional taxis

• May 1 – November 1: 10 more reinforcements

This schedule ensures that the full fleet will be operational between May 1 and September 30, Monaco’s peak tourist period.

Night Service and 24/7 Availability

To maintain optimal service, 11 eco-taxis will operate at night (9 PM – 5 AM), with at least 7 taxis available 24/7. Passengers can book a ride anytime by calling +377 93 15 01 01.

With this expanded and environmentally friendly fleet, Monaco’s taxi service is set to provide enhanced convenience and sustainability throughout the bustling summer season.
