Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie

SBM Launches the Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie

On October 25, 2025, Monaco will shine brighter than ever as it hosts the inaugural Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie (GPHJ)—a celebration destined to become a cornerstone of the international luxury calendar.

Held in the glittering Salle des Étoiles at the Sporting Monte-Carlo, the event will be a tribute to the world’s most exceptional jewellery Maisons, artisans, and gemstone producers.

This new initiative, co-founded by the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer (SBM) and Jean-Philippe Braud, President of Profirst France, reflects Monaco’s ever-evolving commitment to cultural refinement and creative excellence. More than just a showcase, the GPHJ promises an immersive evening of splendour where craftsmanship, heritage, and innovation take centre stage.

An Exclusive Celebration of Artistry

The Grand Prix will welcome a select audience—by invitation only—of collectors, high jewellery enthusiasts, and global tastemakers. The evening’s program will include the presentation of eight prestigious awards, chosen by a jury chaired by renowned journalist Fabienne Reybaud, recognising the most innovative and impactful creations in contemporary jewellery.

“This Grand Prix is, above all, a celebration,” says Reybaud. “It offers an international stage to those who envision, cut, set, and dare. It will highlight new expressions of luxury while honouring the foundations upon which it stands.”

The event also serves as a vital platform for dialogue and visibility for all actors in the jewellery world—from legacy houses and master artisans to emerging talent and gemstone-producing nations from Africa to Asia.

A Strategic Vision of Luxury in Monaco

Stéphane Valeri, Managing Director of SBM and co-founder of the GPHJ, positions this event as an extension of Monaco’s unique luxury identity.

“The Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie is fully aligned with our strategy of bringing together the world’s leading luxury players within our Resort. For 162 years, we have upheld this promise, blending heritage with innovation—and this event is yet another illustration of that commitment.”

Ethics, Excellence, and Sustainability

More than a glamorous evening, the GPHJ also aims to spark conversations around ethical responsibility and sustainable luxury. Topics such as traceability, environmental impact, and the preservation of rare craftsmanship will be at the heart of the event’s mission.

It’s a forward-looking vision that reinforces Monte-Carlo’s evolving role—not only as a destination for high society but also as a global platform for the next generation of luxury and cultural leadership.

As Monaco continues to elevate its position in the realms of fashion, fine art, and haute gastronomy, the Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie arrives as a brilliant new jewel in its crown—uniting tradition and transformation, glamour and gravitas, all under one sparkling Riviera sky.
