ACLI Monaco Inaugurates Its Mission to Promote Work, Community, and Sustainability
In the heart of the Principality, a new cultural and social force has officially launched. Yesterday marked the inauguration of ACLI Monaco (Association Catholique des Travailleurs Italiens), an event that gathered members of the Italian community, Monegasque officials, and international guests for an evening of reflection, purpose, and celebration.
Held at the Équivoque bar, the inauguration introduced ACLI’s mission to promote values that bridge the Italian and Monegasque communities: social integration, the dignity of work, environmental sustainability, and the enrichment of cultural dialogue. Rooted in Christian social doctrine and inspired by decades of activity from its parent organization in Italy, ACLI Monaco aims to offer a platform for education, civic engagement, and solidarity.

“We are proud to officially launch ACLI Monaco,” said the President, Ginevra de Masi during the evening. “This association is not only a voice for the Italian workers and residents in Monaco, but a space for everyone — regardless of origin — to participate in meaningful discussions about work, community, and the environment.”
The organisation’s goals are wide-ranging yet cohesive. They include fostering international dialogue on the role of work in modern society, promoting environmental education and sustainable development, and hosting cultural events such as forums, seminars, and artistic performances that honour both Italian heritage and Monegasque constitutional values.
In particular, ACLI Monaco is committed to:
- Promoting a culture of work and social integration among both Italian residents and cross-border workers;
- Encouraging intercultural events that reflect Monaco’s values and its recognition of international institutions;
- Organising meetings based on Catholic Social Teaching;
- Leading environmental education initiatives tied to sustainable socio-economic development;
- Supporting and guiding social and environmental volunteerism.

During the inauguration, guests enjoyed an engaging panel discussion on the role of civil society in shaping future generations, followed by a reception featuring Italian culinary specialities and live music. The atmosphere was warm and forward-looking — a sign that ACLI Monaco is set to become a meaningful contributor to the Principality’s rich civic landscape.
As Monaco continues to grow as an international hub, ACLI Monaco arrives at the right time — offering a space for shared values, cross-cultural enrichment, and collective responsibility for a better tomorrow.
