At its Monte-Carlo showroom, the eyewear Maison invited guests to meet its designer and glimpse the next chapter of its story
On Friday 16 October 2026, as the closing moment of MCFW Rendez-Vous, Valtoria welcomed press, industry guests and members of Monaco’s creative community to its showroom at Le Montaigne Monte-Carlo. At 11:00 AM, “Valtoria – Meet the Designer” unfolded as a brunch and presentation to the press, organised within the programme of the Chambre Monégasque de la Mode.
A Maison between two worlds
Valtoria is an independent luxury eyewear house, founded in Monaco by Gabriela Tarkanyi Maldonado and former Formula 1 driver Pastor Maldonado. Its motto sums up its identity: Born in Monaco. Handcrafted in Japan. Limited Editions.

Each piece is made by hand in Fukui, Japan, where Japanese titanium and premium acetate are combined with ZEISS Sunlens technology. Titanium is shaped over several days with heat and dozens of precision tools, while acetate is carved from a solid block by expert hands. Collections are produced in highly limited quantities, preserving the individual and collectible character of every creation. The Maison draws on the meeting of three cultures, Monaco, Japan and Italy, and on a devotion to craftsmanship and detail.

From The Impulse to Chapter II
The Maison’s first collection, The Impulse, embodied the instinct and determination that brought Valtoria to life. Rendez-Vous was an opportunity to celebrate that journey and to offer a subtle glimpse of what comes next.

For its next chapter, Valtoria has chosen a different rhythm. Rather than unveiling an entire collection at once, new creations will be introduced one at a time, allowing each design to reveal its own identity, meaning and story.
Gabriela Tarkanyi Maldonado, CEO, Co-Founder and Creative Director, explained that Valtoria has never been only about eyewear: the aim is to create objects that carry identity, emotion and memory, where every new piece has “a reason to exist and a story worth telling.”
Some stories begin with an impulse. Others are connected by a thread. Chapter II is coming.
