This morning at the IYC Lounge, Living in Monaco was among the first to discover a new documentary series that promises to redefine how we think about luxury, gastronomy, and life on the high seas.
There are mornings in Monaco that remind you exactly why this Principality occupies a category of its own. This was one of them. As the Monaco Yacht Show hummed to life along the quays of Port Hercule, a rather different kind of nautical story was being told a short walk away at the IYC Lounge - one that had nothing to do with naval engineering, and everything to do with what happens in the kitchen below deck.
Superyacht Foodie Adventures is a six-episode documentary series co-produced by Superyacht Foodie, IYC Yachts, Red Pepper Pictures and Norsekey Distribution, set to premiere on a major global streaming platform in early 2027. This morning, we were among the first to attend its official press launch - a breakfast curated by Michelin-starred Finnish chef Karoliina Jaakkola, one of the series' lead protagonists - and to watch an exclusive trailer that left little doubt: this is not your average cooking show.

A Gourmet Expedition Across Six Superyachts
At the heart of the series is a deceptively simple premise: what does it take to bring an extraordinary ingredient from its source - an abalone factory on the South African coast, a foraging expedition above the Svalbard archipelago, the artisan producers of rural Sicily - to the table of a luxury superyacht? The answer, as the show makes clear, is equal parts adventure, culture, craft, and obsession.
Each episode pairs a Michelin-trained international chef with a yacht chef aboard one of six superyachts. Together they source, travel, cook and serve - not in a studio, but in the real world. From M/Y Bold near Ventimiglia to SY Reposado sailing the Dalmatian coast, from Athens' morning markets to Finland's Arctic wilderness, the series spans five countries and as many culinary philosophies.
Connecting every episode is Titta Uoti-Väisänen, CEO of TUVYC and founder of Superyacht Foodie, whose vision drove the project from concept to screen. Her commitment to sustainable sourcing and farm-to-fork storytelling gives the series a depth that elevates it well beyond entertainment - it is, at its best, a love letter to the people, places and products that make exceptional food possible.
Monaco as the Natural Stage
It was fitting that the world press launch took place here, during the Monaco Yacht Show - the one moment each year when the global superyacht industry converges on the Principality. The IYC Lounge, perched at the Stade Nautique Rainier III just outside the official show perimeter, offered an intimate setting that matched the tone of the project perfectly: understated, warm, and entirely focused on quality.
Breakfast canapés prepared by Chef Karoliina Jaakkola - whose episodentakes her from Estonia's coastal forests to the explorer vessel Vikingfjord in Svalbard - set the scene beautifully. For those of us fortunate enough to be in the room, it was a rare glimpse behind the curtain of a production that has clearly been crafted with as much care as the dishes it celebrates.

Why This Matters for Monaco
Living in Monaco has long championed the story of Monaco as more than a postcard - as a living, working, creative community where luxury is not a backdrop but a language. Superyacht Foodie Adventures speaks that language fluently. With filming locations that include French and Monégasque waters, and a production world deeply embedded in the superyacht industry that Monaco hosts year-round, the series feels in many ways like our story told through a different lens.
