Healing Hearts and Inspiring Smiles: The First Half of 2025 with Les Enfants de Frankie
For over 28 years, the Monaco-based charity Les Enfants de Frankie has been dedicated to bringing light, hope, and joy into the lives of sick, disabled, and vulnerable children across Monaco and the surrounding Alpes-Maritimes region. The first half of 2025 has been no exception, marked by tireless commitment, imaginative projects, and heartfelt moments.
In just six months, the Association invested €33,846 in 15 specialized medical and educational institutions. Thanks to the continued generosity of its patrons and supporters, this funding has helped improve daily life for thousands of children with meaningful and tailored projects.
Among the many highlights were the creation of sensory rooms and artistic kiosks in care homes, offering safe spaces for creativity, relaxation, and expression. A center for children with autism was transformed with the addition of an inclusive, custom-designed area to better meet their needs.
Other impactful projects included:
- Brand-new basketball hoops in a once grey courtyard, now alive with laughter.
- A virtual reality headset to help hospitalized children escape pain and fear, if only for a moment.
- A potter’s wheel for pediatric psychiatric art therapy sessions.
- Adaptive computers for hearing-impaired children.
- A therapeutic camera and tablet for autism therapy.
- Montessori materials, cooking utensils for confidence-building, and even autism diagnostic software.
One particularly moving story was that of young Louca, who suffers from a rare genetic mutation (TUBB3). Thanks to Les Enfants de Frankie, Louca was able to access an intensive 25-hour rehabilitation program—one example of how the Association supports each child as an individual.
Through its ongoing “Actions for Two Hands” initiative, more than 3,500 children were supported through outings, activities, and hands-on care during the first half of the year. These were not just moments of escape—but dreams realized and futures made a little brighter.
And the year is far from over.
On November 26, the Association will host the 28th edition of its most beloved tradition: “Noël de Frankie.” This year’s theme, “Dance with Frankie,” promises an unforgettable day for over 1,000 children, filled with performances, gifts, laughter, and joy.
Because at Les Enfants de Frankie, healing always begins with the heart—and every child counts.
