Prince’s Government holds September press conference

The Minister of State, surrounded by members of the Government, held the September press conference this morning.

In his introductory speech, Christophe Mirmand highlighted his intention to work with “commitment, determination and enthusiasm on behalf of the Principality and all Monegasques”, adding “I feel Monegasque at heart but I still have a lot to learn.”

The Minister of State set out the Prince’s Government’s priorities for the coming months: the 2025 amended budget, on which discussions with the National Council will intensify; consolidation of the Principality’s attractiveness; compliance with international standards (FATF/MONEYVAL); major construction projects, with a review of urban development and the required greening; and finally transport, including both rail services and road traffic.

On this point, the Minister of State noted that it was absolutely vital to identify, as soon as possible, a solution that is “acceptable to all stakeholders, so that neither those who commute to work in Monaco each day nor those who live in the Principality are penalised” in making their journeys, with travel currently hampered by a diversion linked to a construction site on the Moyenne Corniche road at Cap d’Ail.
